New Age Electronics Opens East Coast Warehouse Facility To Provide Expanded Product Inventory and Faster Delivery To Regional CE Resellers
Carson, Calif. – September 6, 2007 – New Age Electronics, Inc. (New Age), a leading solution and logistics provider delivering an unsurpassed supply chain model to consumer technology retailers and vendors, announced today it is opening its fourth warehouse facility in the United States this week.
Based in Dayton, NJ and located in the center of the Northeast Corridor halfway between New York City and Philadelphia, the new distribution center will enable New Age to maintain a greater quantity and assortment of consumer electronics products within the region, while providing resellers with the same-day, next-day and will call delivery services required to help exceed market demands and obtain competitive advantage.
“New Age has experienced tremendous growth in the dynamic East Coast marketplace, and we are thrilled to provide smarter and more efficient service to our reseller customers throughout the region,” said Fred Towns, New Age senior vice president. “Providing the highest level of customer service has been the key ingredient to our growth and success, and our new distribution center will play a direct role in providing dealers with ways to further bolster supply chain and distribution related processes, helping them save significant time and money.”
With the launch, New Age will also strengthen its support of East Coast customers by providing increased staffing, transportation and inventory management services, along with 30,000 square feet of dedicated warehouse space within the company’s new state-of-the-art facility. The multi-building complex provides New Age with ample space for growth as the company plans to continue its aggressive East Coast expansion in the short term.
The announcement dovetails New Age’s recent expansion agreement with Panasonic Consumer Electronics Company. In May, New Age began directly managing relationships with Panasonic’s reseller network throughout the Metro New York, Northern New Jersey and Connecticut markets. The new facility and transportation service capabilities will enable New Age to provide these resellers with rapid access to all types of Panasonic products from a central location, including Plasma and LCD televisions, Blu-ray disc players, high definition camcorders, digital still cameras and other digital imaging, entertainment and communication products.
“New Age and its executives have deep ties to the East Coast, and we’re excited to enhance our capabilities in an area that we consider the roots of the company,” said Adam Carroll, New Age president. “New Age customers will experience a highly efficient distribution network backed by best-in-class technology, with the ability to fulfill and ship orders in a matter of hours. We look forward to helping our customers throughout the region bolster product time-to-market by way of high-quality, innovative and reliable distribution services.”
